Fading colour

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Take it to a repair shop.

The scren shows only bue and green colouring and not 256 colouring do i get 256 colouring?

Please check all the pin of the video cable, it sounds like the monitor is not getting the RED color signal due to bad cable or the video card is not sending RED signal. You also should set your PC video color to 16-bit depth.

Monitor turned pink

Video-cards generate "primary" colours (red, green, blue), and "mix" those colours to produce millions of "secondary" colours.

First, try replacing the "data' cable between the LCD and the video-card.

Second, if your LCD works correctly when connected to some other desktop or laptop computer, then the video-card in your computer is not working properly -- not sending one of the "primary" colours to the LCD. Replace the video-card.

Subject: Trouble shoot Samsung Synmaster 151 MP LCD monitor Hello, I have a NTSC compatible DVD player, (pioneer DVH-P7000) linked, pictured communication via S-video to the sumsung LCD, also NTSC. It is...

S-Video connectors have separate luminance (B&W) and chrominance signals.

Your symptoms are those of a bad connection on either pin 2 or 4, those responsible for chrominance signals. Check the connections and the cable. Try gently wiggling the connectors when the image is displaying. A flash of color imagery indicates that it is indeed a bad contact, hopefully in the cable (which can be replaced cheaply).

Acer Al1912 monitor

You can try adjusting your color and tint on your monitor and also adjust the resolution with your computer. To make sure it is not a problem with your video card, take and use a known good monitor (borrow one from a friend, family member, co-worker, etc) and connect it to your computer system. If the system boots up fine and there is no problems, then your monitor is going bad and you will need to replace it, because it is not worth fixing financially. If you plug it to a known good monitor and it is still doing the same thing, then your video card is bad and you will need to replace that. You can see the symptoms and this same procedure in my profile under tips. I hope this helps and please let me know if you need further assistance.

If you would not mind please rate my help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
