U NEED TO CHANGE UR DVD CARD WITH THE NEW ONE ITS A COMMON THING WITH THE XBOX 360 WHEN U BUY A NEW ONE JUST SWAPT OUT HE DVD BOARD AND IT SHOULD WORK.

Ok the problem is all xbox 360 motherboards come with preset keys like a password everyone is different. your origanal benq vad 6038 dvd drive also has the key programed into its sst chip on the pcb (Printed Circut Board) which allows it to work with that motherboard (another way of explaning this is it works the same way as a wireless network anyone can connect to it but you must input the correct password to be able to connect and use the internet)

There is a solution you need to extract the dvd key out of your old dvd drive and inject it into your new one. To do this you will need a few tools
