Question about SanDisk Sansa m230 MP3 Player

Sandisk m230 sansa, has no power

My mp3 plays won't come on, I put a new battery in it and hooked it up to my computer and it still doesn't come on, my comp sees it as a USB device with no drivers... i get a The drivers for this device are not installed message when i try to add it to my computer. and I get a message saying that i don't have the right software to install the hardware... how do I get the drivers back on it?

Your going to need the driver install disk you can buy it at a kmart or wallmart they go for about $50 the only way you can get a driver back ~SP1Grim

Assuming the computer puts out enough juice, yes. Not all USB ports do.

Plug it in, and the Sansa should say "Charging" if it is charging. If it doesn't, try a different USB port if possible. If your computer has ports on the front/side and on the back, the back ones are more likely to put out sufficient power.

Try cleaning the headphone socket with a tissue also Check the equalizer and see if it is set to a preset value

Problem with My SanDisk Sansa m230

try formatting your device then try to put mp3 files on it. check if it works. on your my computer right click you mp3 device ( it is usually a removable storage) then select format.
