Question about Creative Labs ZEN V Plus MP3 Player

ZEN V PLUS REMOVABLE DISK MANAGER NONFUNCTIONAL??

My Creative Zen v + installed software functions except "Removable Disk Manager". Removable Disk Manager says: PLEASE SET YOUR PLAYER TO REMOVABLE DISK MODE and connect your player. It tells me this even when I am connected to comp. Also, My Computer does not list it as a removable devise or anywhere. Disk manager has it listed as "MTP" and functioning well. Because of this problem I am assuming that this Player cannot be seen on any other comp except the one that has their software installed. Anyone have any advice?? I also have a Zen Nano 512mb and a Digital MP3 512mb that I have no problems with. So I know that it is not my computer that has the problem. I have Wins XP Pro OS. Thanks for your Posts and advice.     i lost my disk and need to put movies on my zen and i need the zen manager page and dont have it and thats the only way i can put videos and pics on my zen is there a way i can get zen manager or download it

Try downloading the MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?

Guess you can connect your player to computer through USB, visualize files as Removable Disk and delete files you don't need.
Maybe you need a driver to connecto to computer

My computer show my zen as a removable disk but when i transport my pictures or musics in removable disk i cant find them in my zen what should i do?

Check ZEN memory setting
Memory ZEN is set to 0 in MENU>Etras>removable disk
Memory ZEN should be changed to maximum 1.5 GB
ZEN is recognized now
ZEN is ready to do the format command
ZEN can be written to for a maximum of 0.5 GB [internal memory !]
ALERT ! This 0.5 GB is the internal memory
The files written to the internal memory will be erased after
disconnecting !

Creative stone plus


Hi,

Initially, it would be possible that the Zen Stone plus is infected with a virus and your PC's antivirus is preventing access to it. Have you tried a reformat of the Zen Stone plus and or a virus scan?

u go to ur device manager and u uninstall the question mark symbol i did it n it worked
go to start
my computer
view system information system information
hardware
device manager
then uninstall the question mark

Creative Zen V Plus, it charges, but I can't transfer audios.


ok... i found a fix...
insert zen v plus install cd
exit out of autorun for cd
go to control panel
click on system
click on the hardware tab
click on device manager
click on portable devices
right click on your USB device with the yellow warning sign
go to properties
when it tells you that the drivers arent installed... go to the browse button and select your zen v plus install disk
hit ok and it will find the drivers that way...

i can help with the computer registering it...

insert zen v plus install cd
exit out of autorun for cd
go to control panel

click on the hardware tab
click on device manager
click on portable devices

when it tells you that the drivers arent installed... go to the browse button and select your zen v plus install disk
hit ok and it will find the drivers that way...

as for thedisplay... once you get the computer to recognize its there troubleshoot it.

Zen V Plus is not recognized in Wins Xp Pro


· Make sure you have media player 11
· If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this.
· Download recovery tool off creative's website.
