I have a crossover cable I used with my XBOX console. It works perfectly, we link and play Halo and Halo 2 all the time. I purchased 2 360's about a month agao and they both work fine. I bought 2 copies of Prey about a week agao, I have never linked the 360 before. I'm sooo excited, well i plug in the crossover cable into each console and start up the game....ARGH!!! I go to the system link menu, I select start new game then I go to the lobby and wait. the other console I do the same thing, I go to system link then I select join game. It says searching...... then it says " No game found, start a new game? " What is going on??? SOMEONE HELP!!!! HALO 3 IS COMING SOON!!!

Re: Help me link
I suggest you use a Router, the Xbox 360 have had some issues with Crossover Cables. A cheap $10 switch or router will help you play your fun game of prey. And Halo 3 is coming out in September, I'll be getting it and I hope you will too.

Best guess? It over-heated and fried the harddrive. Its toast bro, Microsoft is not going to honor any type of anything on the original X-Box anymore, no way. I have an original X-Box that works perfect, i'll sell it to you for $30 if you'd like =D
my halo sometimes does the same thing when i start up the game but pressing a usually gets you through it, but if your xbox 360 overheats within minutes and is an older xbox 360 its usually a burnt out fan or just full of dust, if its old then ur warranty might already be out and if it is just open up the xbox and use an air compressor or anything else to get all the dust out of the xbox. in my case everything was just caked with dust. anyways... good luck
hi right me and my mate used to do system link all need to do is conect the crossover cable to the xboxes if the lead isn t long enough then me and my mate used a switching hub with also works with two crossovers lead into the xboxes
Try resetting the modem that might help. Because the problem is with your modem not sending the right packet to your xbox. and dont use a computer while doing this or try birdging the network watch my video on youtube for it. Hope it helps. And if it dosnt work then contact xbox live support.
the odds are very good... The error is caused when there's a problem with video, either because
the A/V cable used is broken, or what's even worse, when Ana, the Xbox
360 hardware scaler chip is damaged.
Also try this take the AV cable, plug it out and plug it in, if it still
doesn't work unplug it, wipe the metal part with a soft cloth then
plug it in. That might help. But i bet you will end up sending it off again.
i have the same problem. try adjusting the pots and clean the lens. i might work. in my case a games start working. but i have ordered a new laser lens online. still havn`t got it. i think that will solve the problem
I think this is less of an isolated issue but a universal one. As Halo 2 (and I'm assuming the version of Medal of Honour you speak of) are original xbox games, these can be prone to graphics distortion due to being emulated. I often find my Halo 2 campaign mode sometimes "ghosts" or leaves certain outlines stuck on the screen, which is irritating but nothing too major.
If this happens in any designated xbox 360 game, search the web for similar problems with the game itself, if not give Microsoft a call. Bring food, it's a long call wait :)
