Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines
Check the pump, it's right up in front after you get the cover off. This unit is about 15-18 years old. The pump housing is plastic and eventually begins to leak around the input shaft. They're relatively cheap, about $30, and can give you another couple of years out of the machine if you want to try to fix it.While you're in there you might want to inspect/swap-out the flexible coupling betewen the motor and transmission. That's about $25 and it's pretty easy if you're handy.
