Can't figure out how to open the case

Hi, I've been trying to get the case open to clear it of debris, but something near the rear of the scanner is keeping me from removing the bottom of the case. Any experience with this ?

There may be lock system rather than a screw. Please see the lock and it will be opened by pressing a lock node(s) or aplying the force in a paticular direction. Do not try to open force fully. Refer manual of scanner if there are instruction to open the case.

Panasonic Hi-speed scanner

I am not sure if you have the manual for it so here it is just in case.
Since there are many steps to opening it to clean, the problem may be reassembling it. You can also unplug it and leave it off for 30 minutes to reset its internal memory. You can also press Start and hold it for 5 sec and do the same with the menu button. If after trying this, your machine does not reset, let me know.

Hello, I have a Lexmark 2670 which is relatively new. When trying to print an alert keeps popping up saying "Scanner Unit Open". I've tried different things, but don't know why this is...

Check your System scanner application is running. Open the End Task manager select the tab process and see there may be scanner.exe is there select that one and click end task.

Try it.

Hi, my smartpool dolphin robo doesn't move any more. It seems stuck on the ground. When I 've started to understand why, i've discovered that out of the water, the wheels turn few seconds in...

There are two things that you can check yourself if these pool cleaners are not moving properly. First, check the impeller. Make sure that the transformer is unplugged and take the top grill off by removing the 2 screws from the top. Check for debris and remove if you see anything. Replace the grill and tighten the screws before you try the cleaner again. Also, check your front and rear wheels. Debris and leaves can get caught in the axle bearings. Make sure this is not the case. If one of these does not solve the problem, it could be your gear box and you will have to have it serviced by a professional.

Region unlock a Sony DVP-SR500H

Ok here's what I've figured out for Sony dvp sr500h...

To get to the hidden menu, you need to start with the DVD player power OFF
then hit
POWER (to turn the dvd player on)

and you should now see the hidden menu

then go to option 2
then option 4

then this is as far as I can enter codes here but none I've tried have worked....

the ones I've tried so far are 2812, 34570, and 12450

if anyone can figure out the correct code please post here.

Scanner is not taking the pages and it is showing error message 4401

Please explain the problem more clearly.
Switch on the scanner, load some papers and try 'page count'. If it works, then there is no problem with tray lifting or paper movement. If this is not working, try 'Qumatool' and give a command to lift the paper tray. If it lifts, then the problem is with a sensor under the paper lifting tray. (It may not be in HP - Home position). If the tray is not lifting, then you may have problem with motor. S. Mohan, Chennai, India

ABS light and Trac Cont light stay on....

Check your rear brakes and inside the rear Rotors. There are ABS scanners and if Autozone or Oreillys have that type of scanner, they will scan for free.

Because the Trac Control is on the Rear axle all of your problems are probably rearward. What usually happens is the Emergency brake material and the Rotor pads wear down and blind the sensors. Sometimes the Trac Control will destroy the brake linings. The Trac Control works by applying the rear brake to the fastest spinning wheel in an effort to match each rear wheels speed.

When the sensors have debris flying in front of them, they miscount and include the debris in figuring RPM. Someone needs to disassemble and inspect the back brakes.

How to open case ?

There are hidden hooks (catches) all along the edges where the front half and rear half of the case meet. Using something like a putty knife (something thin but very strong) put the tool in the crack between the halves. Start near the center of the top or bottom edge and carefully separate the halves. It takes some expereince, but you'll soon see the hooks and figure out how to unlock them. Then you place another tool in the gap you've opened so it doesn't relock, and continue working your way around the edges. Until you have more experience and figure out how to do it with only one tool, you should have a few or even several similar tools to hold the opened areas while you're opening the next one. Once you have three sides unlocked, you can pull the two halves apart. I appreciate your thoughtful rating.
