Cant access speedstream modem

I had a password on my speedstream modem hoping to stop others hooking on to our internet and when it started giving us problems and booting us off I tried to get rid of it but in the process I accidently uninstalled the modem ( I think). While trying to fix it I clicked on REBOOT the speedstream modem so now I dont know how to get it working again. I have 3 computers using the modem and my hubby has got one computer working but we still cant get the two laptops working. Hope this all makes sense :-) Thanks.

Turns out that the modem stopped transmitting a wireless connection so that is why we couldnt get it working. After nearly putting a hammer through the laptops, we decided that we had better buy another modem. It now works better than ever :-) (phew)

I had a Siemens Speedstream 4100 AQDSL modem and the switch went bad. I purchased a 4100B, but it does not work. Any suggestions.

You need to set it up according to your Internet Service Provider's settings. The Default Gateway for the modem is "192.168.0.1" type it on the internet explorer's address bar and you will be able to access it. Now, contact your internet service provider to assist you with the configuration of the modem. It needs your Username and Password, which were both provided by your provider.

I hope it helped you. Rate for this information will greatly be appreciated. Thank you!

Speedstream router 2623 doesn't work

it could be possible that the router is just not in sync with the modem. you can try to power cycle the devices first by turning them off. then turn on your modem first, wait for all the necessary lights to turn on, then the router and then the computers. check if you'll be able to connect to the internet again. if not, you may need to access the router's page to check if it's properly configured or not.

hope this'll help you and just ask me if you'll have other concern

ciao!

Speedstream 4200 setup

I have just set up 4200 with dsl - you may find that you need to reset modem before you can configure. I was told that you need either a grey or yellow cable from your laptop to the modem. I use 10.0.0.138 to access modem. The 4200 I have was from a bigpond a/c - originally configured accordingly.
