YPU1 cannot read mp3 files

My YP-U1 cannot detect the mp3 files that i have saved. After System Loading, The capacity is still 993mb, and the screen says "No Entry". Please i need your help with this one. Is formatting the YP-U1 will remove it's software to play the mp3 files?

Format the mp3 player with FAT , not FAT 32,
and 16 bitar.

that will solve the problem of reading the files. It did for me :)

It happened to me yesterday and I already solved the problem.
Honestly, I don´t know which of the operations resulted. I did a check (and solving) the problems in "settings - tools...". After I did two formats: one for the file system to "FAT" and another to "FAT32". It worked!

Format using "Restore device defaults and using FAT (nor FAT32).

It will start working again.

Memory capacity

Yes it should. I would remove all of the contents on card and save them then reformat the card and check to see if the full space is available. If not there is freeware available to restore these things to correct amount. If it cannot be done then the card has an issue and needs to be replaced.

I formated the Samsung YP-U1 mp3 player and now it says it has no files on it, but it does. What's the problem?

When you format something, normally all files are deleted, and the file structure is set.

I formated the Samsung YP-U1 mp3 player and now it says it has no files on it, but it does. What's the problem?

Sounds like those are the system files for the player itself. They cannot be deleted or modified as they are required for the operation of your player.

No file

iv had the same problem, all my files are on the Samsung YP-U1 when connected to the pc but when disconnected says no file.

I tried everything but with mine I deleted all the DRM files (Digital Rights Management) and re-copied the non DRM files back to the device and they seem to work now. I dont know if that'l help but its worked on mine.

If not buy a better mp3 player which'l allow DRM files
