This may have a different type of triggered turn on wire. On some of the older Pioneer amps (and maybe some new ones) the trigger wire would SUPPLY B+ TO THE RADIO and when the radio was switched on the amp would sense a current draw on that wire and would then switch on. Unlike most common amps which sense the presence of B+ on the trigger wire supplied by the radio and then turn on. Look in your owners manual to see kind of turn on system you have. If you don't have an owners manual then perhaps you can download one from Pioneer support. good luck

I have a 1200 watt amp and 2 12 in pioneer champions and it keeps killing my battery how do I hook up this capasitor I just bought?

first make sure your power wire is directly hooked to the battery, {make sure ure in line fuse is pulled} power wire that goes to positive of power cap , ground wire is grounded to chasis, now attach aditional power wire to amp and aditonal grond to amp . make sure all conections are solid and tight { also make sure inside of power cap is tight as well after long periods of time the insides loosen } i have 2 -1,000 watt sony xploid amps and 2- 1,200 watt sony expoid subs and they pound hard . i probley should have 2-1.2 farrid caps for what i have but it seems that its holding its own

Red light showing up on amp ( pioneer 800 watt GM 7200 amp )

it could be the amp it could be the way you've installed and if you have a sub in an enclosure the wires could be touching the postive and negetive speaker wires what ever the problem is the amp is in protection mode i hope this helps hope its not the amp i hope its just the wiring

I got a 800 watt amp from my friend and he didnt have instruction

What's the exact model of your amp? For taking the higher frequencies/treble out of the subwoofer, the amp should have a little button on the side that says "Hi Pass" or "Low Pass" or maybe an adjustable knob-thing that says "X-Over". These will set a cut-off frequency for your sub output. Some amps don't have this feature, but many do.

My GM-7300M anot woking

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

If the voltage on both terminals is 12v or higher, the amplifier may be in need of repair.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Installation

Buy an amp wiring kit. The battery cable goes to the battery (duh, right?) with the fuse within 18 inches of the battery. The ground gets bolted to a clean section of the car chassis/body. the remote lead goes to the radio's remote out (blue/white stripe). the rca cable goes to the radio's Sub/rear RCA outputs. Speaker wires go the speakers. Done!

No power to amp

Are you sure it has the full voltage going to both BATT and REM? sounds like the REM signal is weak.
