Problem for Remote Controls

Generic problem for all Remote Controls

I purchased this 1 way universal remote control from my local ASDA about 1 year ago. It seems to have lost the code somehow, despite searching I can not find the code book or instuctions anywhere.
There appears to be no serial number on the remote the only descripton i have is that it is called a 'ROSS 1 way remote control' and is stocked in ASDA

1. Switch on the television
2. Hold down the mute key and red light starts blinking
3. Continue holding down the mute key while pointing the remote on the television
4. Once red light stops blinking try switching television off by pressing the red turn off key

Tested and method worked on Ferguson tv
