In the last couple of months my color copies come out with pink horizontal lines. After I clean the cartridge it works fine until the next time I use it then I have to clean the cartridges again. I replaced the HP color cartridge but that did not solve the problem. I purchased this copier in 2000 and it has worked fine until a couple of months ago when this problem started.

On my HP Officejet 6300, I recently replaced the color ink cartridge because I didn't seem to be getting any yellow tones. After I got the new cartridge and tried it out, I was getting pinkish tones to everything. I cleaned the printer cartridges at all 3 levels twice, but still get some lines and a pinkish tone to all my color copies. I went in to try to calibrate the color and it won't let me. (I get a pop up telling me that the service I have chosen is not applicable with my current configuration, but I don't seem to be able to change the configuration.) When I printed the pages that print when cleaning the nozzles, there was no orange, instead just a peachy pink color. I had all the other colors however. Any suggestions appreciated. I really don't want to buy another cartridge unless I have to, expensive buggers. I read this was a good printer before I bought it, so I'm really hoping it's not the printer itself. Thanks in advance!
