Hi, can anyone help me? Recently bought second hand beko 32" tv from a neighbour. It was working perfectly till last night but now wont switch on. Standby light comes on but wont turn on using remote or buttons on tv. Tried unplugging for sometime, changing sockets but still nothing. Whats wrong with it? Should I buy a new 1 or get it fixed? and how much will it cost? beko tv wouldn't switch on changed fuse/plug/tried different socket any other ideas out there the tv had been ,aking a high pitched whistling noise for some months previous to this should i just bite the bullet and buy a new tv?

- thanks very much again - already doing the shopping around online just in case!
Instead of just unplugging the TV, perform a power drain:
1. Unplug the product's power cable so the device is not grounded to the house.
2. Press and HOLD the product's own power button for 1 minute to drain the capacitors.
3. Plug the product back into a wall outlet and try to turn it on.
Note: This procedure works with battery operated devices as well so remove the batteries and
hold down it's power button. Electricity can remain in capacitors and on circuit boards
enough to prevent normal functionality. By clearing the residue electricity, your product
will have a fresh start and many times this will resolve a buggy or non-responsive device
that appears to be dead.
If the TV still won't turn on, then it appears something is wrong with it's mainboard since the TV is still receiving power because the standby light is still coming on. The cost of fixing an older TV's mainboard could be costly or impossible if the part is discontinued.

- If it looks like no power at all is reaching the TV, this will indicate a problem with the TV's power supply which would be a cheaper part than a mainboard in most circumstances. If the cost of the part and labor outweighs the cost of a new TV that would have a new warranty, then I think you know what to do.

This 15" tv normally comes on ok the first time you use it in the day, but if switched off and then on again later, no picture. Is there anyone out there who knows what the problem is and can tell me what to do?
