Question about Philips Magnavox 27MT5405 TV
My magnavox is less than 2 yrs old and the picture is turning green off and on. I called tech. support and they said that the tube might be going and that I should contact a repair shop...where I will have to pay for it!..because the warranty is only good for one year...of course!! I am wondering how many other people have had this problem around the 2yr mark. Perhaps magnavox should do something to compensate people if this seems to be an issue amongst the model, not just one televison.

SOURCE: Attention No Video Input
Check your input cabling and connectors and make sure you have a good input signal. Put another tv on this same input cable and see what happens. Keever

first place to start on this chasss is with a known failure in the horizontal circuit. there is a capacitor 2455 and 2 transistors locations 7461 and 7463 that have caused a wide variety of failures. i would recommend replacing these components before proceeding as they could be the whole of the problem.

You have a corrupt EEprom! Location IC002 is the EEprom. And you must see the numbers on IC 1001 and IC 001, to determine which EEprom you will need!
