Printed confirmation on faxes sent form HP Laser Jet Fax M1522nf

If you require printed confirmation that your faxes weresuccessfully sent, follow these instructions to enable fax confirmation beforesending any faxes. The default fax confirmation setting is Off. This meansthat a confirmation report is not printed for each fax sent or received. Aconfirmation message indicating whether a fax was successfully sent appearsbriefly on the control-panel display after each transaction. NOTE: You can include an image of the first page of the faxon the Fax Sent Confirmation report if you choose On Fax Send or Send &Receive, and if you scan the fax to send from memory To enable fax confirmation
1.Press the (Setup) button.
2.Press right arrow to select Print Report, and then press OK.
3.Press right arrow to select Fax Confirmation, and then press OK.
4.Press right arrow to select one of the following, and then press OK. Off Does not print a fax confirmation report when yousend and receive faxes successfully. This is the default setting. On Fax Send Prints a fax confirmation report for every faxyou send.

Follow the steps below to enable the Fax confirmation on Sent and recieved.

On the printer :

1. Press Setup ( ).
2. Press the right arrow button ( ) to select Print Report , and then press OK .
3. Press the right arrow button ( ) to select one of the following options:
   • On Fax Send: Print a confirmation page every time you send a fax.
   • On Fax Receive: Print a confirmation page every time you receive a fax.
   • Send & Receive: Print a confirmation page every time you send or receive a fax.
4. Press OK .

Printing fax confirmation reports

• The default fax confirmation setting is Off . Use these instructions to enable printed fax confirmations.

• Press Setup on the product control panel.

• Press the right arrow button until Print Report appears on the control panel display, and then press OK .

• Press the right arrow button until Fax Confirmation appears on the control panel display, and then press OK .

• Press the right arrow button to select the appropriate option (listed in the following table), and then press OK .

It's gone forever, once your machine received a EOT (end of transmission signal), your fax machine thinks it was received OK and clears it from memory.

Tip If you choose On Fax Send or Send & Receive, and scan your fax to send from memory, you can include an image of the first page of the fax on the Fax Sent Confirmation report. Press Setup, press 2, and then press 2 again. Select On from the Image on Fax Send Report menu.

You have sent a fax? Or you have received a fax.
If you have sent it, it's gone and can't be printed.
If you have received it, then you obviously have to put legal paper in the tray, and program the paper size in your system settings to tell the machine it is Legal paper in the tray. However, once again, if it has already printed the fax (likely on 2 pages) then it's gone from memory and can't be re-printed.

You can configure your HP all-in-one so that it automatically prints error and confirmation reports. If you need printed confirmation each time a fax is sent, follow these instructions before sending any faxes and select Send Only. To set automated report options from the control panel Press Setup. Press 2, and then press 1. This selects Print Report and then selects Fax Report Setup. Press to scroll through the following report types: Every Error: prints whenever there is any kind of fax error (default). Send Error: prints whenever there is a transmission error. Receive Error: prints whenever there is a receiving error. Every Fax: confirms every time a fax is sent or received. Send Only: prints every time a fax is sent indicating whether the fax was successfully sent or not. Off: does not print any error or confirmation reports. Press OK to select the report.
