Question about Logitech ClickSmart 510 Digital Camera

ClickSmart 510 Will Not Be Turned On

Camera worked flawlessly for 3 years. Suddenly, it refuses to be turned on after pressing (and holding) the switch-on button. All other functions (ie: connection to USB port on PC, etc.) work normally; just will not be turned on for taking pictures. Several sets of fresh/new batteries were installed and their proper placement verified. Any repair options or other suggestions, please?

Thank you for the suggestion. I did look into the battery contacts inside the camera and found that one of the four has some slight corrosion; the others are shiny and clean-looking. I used a nail file to try to remove the corrosion but did not do a good job of it. However, I now get a bunch of dashes when attempting to turn on the camera, whereas previously I go nothing at all, so I'm assuming there was an improvement. Is there a better way to clean battery contacts? Thanks for the help. ZuluDiver.

Hi, I have a pair of sunglasses,ie;mobile eyewear recorder and I canot understand how to operate the camera. The instructions are very unclear. The mp3 audio operates properly, however I'm not sure which...

the interface is slow and push/hold style interface... hold is either 1 second like volume, or 3 seconds like power on off... you will also find that the time intervals for things to react is about the same except is 3 to 7 seconds but that is only moderately annoying. also just so you know the mode button automatically changes you back to MP3 Player mode, but that is only the first time you press it while on another mode. the camera has a 7 count between picture taking capabilities and takes pictures with the camera mode button as the shutter (picture taking button). the video has a three second delay before you start recording but then it works ok.

My camera turns on, then it turns off right after.

My kodak camera is 2.5 years old when suddenly did this a few times then completely refused to turn on at all. Research showed me that this is a firmware issue in Kodak cameras. Kodak will look at it and try to fix it for $70 which is not worth it in my case as I paid $130 for the camera brand new 2.5 years ago.

Lens Error Message

Hi there

I had the same problem a year after I bought my camera. I returned it to Nikon and they fixed it and returned it. The problem reoccurred 3 times and each times Nikon repaired it free of charge. Then after a year it went again and, when I returned it to Nikon they sent me a new camera. Within a couple of months the new camera had the same problem. I have since resolved it with new batteries! The original coolpix rechargeable batteries do not seem to recharge properly so when I put ordinary AA batteries in it suddenly worked. Good luck.

I called Cuisinart. There is no way to fix it. If your coffee maker is still under warranty (3 years) they will replace it. Otherwise, its next stop is the landfill.
