I have a toshia sd1810 dvd player that no matter what dvd I put in it tells me incorrect disc. How do I fix this? My dvd player is on level surface with nothing ontop of it. I have all the cables hooked...

Many times, the laser in the DVD players burn out over time... but it could have a hair or something on it. Try cleaning the laser with a DVD lens cleaner first. They make them and they look just like a DVD but they have little brushes on the disc to brush off the lens. If it still won't recognize any disc, it's probably time to get a new one.

Good luck!

No sound, tried replacing rca cables and coaxial. Turned off to reboot, no luck.

I have the same problem. During a storm, I lost power. When power came back on, the Recorder lost sound. I've tried new cables and checked connections. No luck. Please share if you find the solution. Thanks.

Setting ***.

You will have to change the dvd player resolution to 1080i (or change resolution for each individual disc), because:
a) there is no way to change the resolution manually on this television
b) this TV maxes at 1080i, hence negating most of the utility of using an hdmi cable (Of course, hdmi cables are much easier to hook up, less messy than component cables; so all is not lost)

Green dvd

if dvd is a hdmi..and your using RGB cables..swap them around..it sounds like you have the cables misplaced..if that doesn't work..then swap out the dvd player and see if the replacement dvd player does the same thing
