It is behind the cover hooked to the carburetor.

Craftsman riding lawn mower won t cut grass

Does it die when you attempt to engage the cutting deck? If so the you might have a clogged fuel filter, bad gas, dirty air filter, bad spark plug.
Or the mower engage switch may be faulty. They are located in different places on different mowers. But should be attached somewhere along the main pivot of the engage lever. Let me know if you need more assistance. Good Luck!!

Where is the carburetor on the Craftsman 675 Series 190cc 22" cut self-propelled lawn mower?

The carburetor would be located BEHIND the air filter housing and air inlet tube. The air filter housing should have a removable (by screw or clip) cover.

I have a craftsman 17.5 hp tractor that will start but soon cuts off. I have replaced gas. battery fuel filter and spark plug. Also burning a lot of oil to me.Have replaced fuel lines also. Seems to not...

Could be a head gasket. I'd recommend a compression test or better yet a leak down test that will show where the leak is. Hope this helps. Please vote yes, thank you

Cranks up and runs fine ,then starts cutting out then runs fine and starts cutting out again

I am no pro but my suggestion to you is if you have changed your spark plug recently check the gap on it and make sure it is right and make sure is the right spark plug for it. Also check the oil if it is low the motor as it gets hot will start to sputter or if it has to much oil it will have an air lock and blow you Lhead gasket after a while. Another thing to check is the air filter to make sure it is clean and check the timing with this if you don't trust your self ask an repair expert for your brand of mower.

I have a Craftsman 650 series lawn mower. It starts but sputters and smokes and finally dies. I replaced the spark plug and checked the oil but it did not help. What do I need to do now??

I have a similar issue in that my Craftsman 650 in that it sputters and smokes out of the muffler and spits oil out from there as well. It does not die, but I cannot operate the lawn mower with all the smoke and oil blowing out. Plus, I get oil leakage on the deck of the lawn mower (top). What would I check for here?

Mower sputtering and getting hot

To help stop the sputtering you will need to tune up your mower. As for it getting hot check the air filter, and the top air draw area to ensure that they are clean. During your tune up be sure to replace the oil, spark plug, and fuel filter. If your air filter is dirty replace it too.

Brand new Craftsman 19.5 HP Riding Mower Sputtering(Manual Trans)

The hose you reconnected was probably for the air to the air filter. Check to see if while the hose was disconnected it pulled grass or dust into the air filter. Check the air filter, try running the mower without the filter. If it runs then replace or blow out the air filter. Hope this helps.
