Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P200 Digital Camera

1 Answer

E:91:01 My camera got wet a couple of days ago and since then the flash symbol and the E:91:01 error message comes on whenever I switch it on. It only works when plugged into the mains (the battery will not charge). All functions apart from flash seem to be working, and it still takes pictures when plugged in.

Re: E:91:01

According to the user manual an error 91 means that the camera has malfunctioned. You need to reset the camera. Here is how you do that:

Hi my camera has been wet just yesterday, when i capture pictures it has many colors or i think it was damage... but when i use the video it work okey.. but when i capture pictures der so many colors...

Hi This is little helpful tip. Whenever you got any wet, remove battery immediately and soak out the wet with paper. then place dry with warm (inside of car is very good enough temperature and location) Depend on amout of wet, just let it leave a couple of day to a week. ****never try power on and operate, it will cook with more than 300 voltage in flash circuit short. Thanks and best regard. Or with own your risk you can open it up, and clean out----this is the best way...because camera tech does do that when they service.----like me.

I'm getting an error message of E:91:01. I still

E:91:01 is a flash unit error, probably meaning your flash is inoperative .
Try settings, main menu, setup, initialise.
If this does not work, then new flash module required.

Trouble in my camera: no flash while taking photographs even though it is set in flash position. As on opening there comes a blinking like'E:919'& flash symbol. It arose 2days back when I just opened...

Flash capacitor doesn´t charge in a specific time. There may be more reasons. Camera remembers error state and do not use the flash even you turn it off and on. You can try to let it "forget" by resetting (initializing), but if problem persist, do not do it often, it may cause secondary problem.

Wont turn on but light is blinking

Are there any error messages on the LCD display?

Will the camera lens stay out when the camera is turned on?

Can you still take a photo/flash/sound without seeing the photo?

If the camera will not turn on even with a fresh set of batteries it could have a system or lens error in the camera.

a possible lens jamb when closed and the green led on top comes on then shuts off after the lens attemps to extend but cant.

Flash Error

The error 5 can mean that there is something blocking the flash from popping up. If it is up but still get the message then you need to check to see if the little black pin/stick that lets the camera know that the flash is up, is not stuck. With the flash up and pointed at you ( like you are going to take a picture of yourself) the pin is located on the right side close to the where the flash attaches to the camera. Yo should see a little pin sticking up. make sure that area is free of dust and /or debris. if it is not up then that is the problem. try to free it with out braking it or get it professionally repaired.

Canon 20D err 99 and shutter going off continuously

its not the battery

its the exposure of the shutter speed of the camera

it might need to be set manually. set it to 2.8 or 4.5 speed

i had the same problem when i bought my sigma 20mm-80mm lens.

the lens wasnt talking to the camera properly, it didnt know what it was aying about exposure speed rate.

put the camera in AV mode and set the speed rate.

the lens might be compatible with your camera even though it is a canon, or it could be defective

return and replace
