Question about Canon PIXMA MP810 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

My printer has been working fine until a few hours ago. Suddenly I can't print pdfs, the jobs are automatically stopped. I can print other types of documents fine. I have a mac OSX 10.4 operating system. I installed some software updates recently, but have printed pdfs since then no problem. Ink cartridges are all full. Thank you!

Sounds like a software issue not the prnter. Try uninstalling adobe if this is wat the program is and reinstalling.

Print problem

Hi, Your problem may be in the originating software of your print job. Make sure the job gets a form-feed telling the printer the page/job is complete.

Xerox Phaser 6100 will not print

Yeah you need to replace that imaging and transfer units for it to print. That has a counter on it and once it comes up with that message it will not print anything.
NOW THE WARANING. Once you replace the unit. Everything you have sent is in the memory and will print out.
What you will want to do is once it starts printing, continue to cancel the jobs until they are all out of memory. Believe me, the jobs are there....

Can't print to mac wirelessly (could do it a few days ago)

I had the same problem until recently. You have to install the drivers FROM THE CD that came with the printer, instead of selecting the drivers from the default list. Then, when selecting which printer driver to use (you'll have two options) choose Canon IJ and NOT Canon MX310 series. This is a problem with their MX310 driver, which is solved using a default/generic Canon InkJet (hence, the IJ) driver. Hope this helps!
P.S. This only works on Mac OS X. I have yet to figure out how to print wirelessly through Vista. Will keep you posted.

Job stopped!

hey wildd, Try unplugging the printer from the electrical source for "several" minutes. Shutdown the computer too. Turn on the printer, then turn on the computer. If that doesn't work go the whole mile. Uninstall all printers and software. download the latest drivers from Epson. This link is to the epson site and your machine. Download the drivers from here. Have you had any paper jams lately? Make sure there aren't any pieces of paper stuck or any other debris. How about the print properties, or open print jobs? what does it show when the job stops. Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim

Black will not print

Hi springfield, From what you describe I don?t think it has anything to do with your printer drivers. I would try the following: -Run a couple of nozzle cleaning jobs. -If no change I would suspect a defective cartridge and would try a brand new HP cartridge. If these don?t work I?ll need some more details such as do you refill cartridges, buy remanufactured cartridges or use new HP. Also is this still under manufacturer?s warranty? I don?t want to suggest anything that would void it. Let us know what happens and please don?t forget to rate the posting.
