Question about Fisher and Paykel GWL11 Top Load Washer

Fisher & paykel GWL08 washer

I have Fisher & Paykel GWL08 model washer, it would not spin and drain the water. I put the machine into the Diagnostic Mode by Press & Hold the "Wash Temp Down" then "Power", then I do the Drain Pump Test by press "Regular" the LED is on but the pump is not on (Spin). I go to get the Detailed Fault Codes by press "Spin Speed Up" until the "Slow" and "HOLD" are on. The failure code shown as off off on off off on off on (which is 32+4+1 = 37). So I replaced a new Drain pump, the machine still would not drain the water and failure code is still shown 37 as well. what else could cause this problem except drain pump? kaliu@austin.rr.com

Thanks for your attention. I found the problem
which is dust caused the drain pump (overheat).
I clean the drain pump and it work again, there
is something I do not understand is that the
detail failure code is still shown "37". I asked the F&P in CA. they do not like to help anything on problem(s), all they try to say is for authority service people to handle the problem.
    Thank you again.

Your water inlet valve is likely defective. The supply hoses behind the machine lead to the watervalve.

My Model GW712 won't spin or drain Top loader fisher & paykel

hi there the first thing ill tell you is that the washer needs to drain water before it can spin there are only a few factors that prohibit this operation a faulty lid switch secound a blown or blocked water pump being a fisher paykel they are famous for jammed water pumps as they decided when they built the sysyem to turn the water pump upside down this causes a lot of stress on the water pump see if you can lay the hose on the ground and get all the water out i belive the machine will then start to spin dry. in this case it is the water pump and have it replaced its a simple operation if you can order the part fromf/p you simply turn the washer on its side depress the white latch next to the pump turn the pump clockwise till ity release from machine disconnect power supply plug and fit new unit as per reverse

Hi Dale..
It sounds like you have a leaky inlet valve assembly. The part number is 421029P and is easy to replace. You can get one here:
