Media/Device not detected

The trouble is unless the experts are constantly over 75% succesfull with posting answers, not all of us can try to answer the premium questions, but anyway, as i always say if you know the hardware you are connecting is not faulty and the lead is ok, then the power supplied to the usb port is inadequate to power the peripheral connected, so after obviously trying other ports and still no luck the only other thing left to try is a mains powered usb hub, as there is more volts powered to the ports than a motherboard can produce.
