Can you manual adjust the size of picture without the remote control

Using The Remote Control Your remote control will have a button on it to quickly adjust the picture size.

1. Press the P.SIZE button.

1. The current picture size will be displayed on the screen.

1. Press the P.SIZE button repeatedly until the desired picture size is selected.
Important: Some picture sizes are only available with certain resolutions or certain inputs.

Using The On-Screen Menu

1. Press the MENU button. [The Main Menu appears]

1. The Picture portion of the Main Menu will be selected by default, if it is not selected use the directional arrows to select the Picture portion.

1. Use the directional arrows to select Screen Adjustments, and then press ENTER.

1. Picture Size will be selected by default if not use the directional arrows to select Picture Size, and then press ENTER.
Note: The current picture size selection will be displayed to the right.

1. Use the directional arrows to select the desired picture size, and then press ENTER.

U can't do these kind of adjustments without the tv original remote sorry.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote to used.

The remote control for this model is no longer available through Toshiba. You can operate the set but will not be able to use the picture size features. You should be able to work the main functions and also access the picture and audio on- screen adjustments. If you find a vendor that happens to have miscellaneous remotes, the remote number is CT90164.

Look for a button on the remote control that said VIEWMODE,P.size or Aspect Ratio.One of these bottons on ur remote control,will control ur pictures sizes.

There is no way to adjust the view mode on this television without a remote control. There is a view mode button on the remote control. However if you have a cable box/satellite receiver dvr attached to this television adjusting the resolution, making sure the tv is on the correct input for hd from a receiver box, and pressing the hdzoom#, format or aspect button on the receiver remote should resize the picture. You have to play around with those settings to get a desirable size picture.

The wide button on your remote adjusts the picture size. Each time you press it you adjust the picture. If repeatedly pressing the wide button is not changing the picture size check you cable/satellite remote control. Look for the hdzoom# button. There may also be an aspect or format button. When you adjust this the picture size changes and between the Sony remote and the cable/satellite remote you should be able to come to a happy medium. If the picture size still isn't changing you might not be set to the correct resolution i.e. 1080i on your cable/satellite box. It might be set too low or you might be in the wrong input (av 1 av 2 hdmi 1 hdmi 2) etc.

If this only happens with your cable or satellite box this may be an adjustment in your box. So you may need to contact them and find out how to adjust the picture size. This tv may have a wide mode setting on the tv remote. Pushing this button may select full,wide,wide zoom or normal size. On many occasions the tv stations control the picture size. Good Luck
