Question about Kenmore 44042 Front Load Washer
I've only owned for 2 1/2 years. It was working fine then the next load I put in the machine would not work. No water comes in. I had taken the compartment that you put liquid detergent/bleach in to clean it and then it sounded like something dropped (not sure if related), however after that it was no longer working. I was told by a repairman that it was a computer board and I'm just wanting to know if that could be a possibility.
There is a little magnet in the detergent pull-out drawer. I cleaned my compartment and had the same results. After a lot of problem solving, looking at the schematic of the machine, calling Sears...I finally found a spot where the magnet might possible go - low-and-behold, I put it in and the machine works fine. The magnet is located on the right-hand side of the compartment.

It could be the computer board but in most of the cases the reason for your problem are: - A deffective lid switch - A blocked water-inlet line
