Question about Kenwood KVT-617DVD Car DVD Player
Ok, this is the deal, I have a 03 Yukon with a standard Bose factory system, I put a KVT-617DVD in the dash and put the brain box under the cupholder (had to do some cutting to make if fit). I used a 130 dollar wiring harness, dash kit, and antenna adaptar all from best buy. I have checked all my connectors three times. I have all the correct colors hooked together. My problem is that I can only eject and insert cd's now, I have no lights and no power. Somebody help me. I have installed kenwood tv's before, but never in a Yukon. Please help me. This is driving me nuts.
I just replaced the dvd player in mine and when i put it back together i had the same problem no power just eject. I found what fixed mine. Take the bottom cover off of the head unit if you feel safe doing so and up by the faceplate there is a small ribbon cable about 1/2 inch wide mine was loose and not giving me any controls plugged it back in tightly and got power and controls back. I'm not saying this will fix yours but it worked for me.
