If you use Windows XP:
First do some checks!
Confirm that your WL adapter on your Laptop is not DISABLED !
If it is, Enable it! How?
Open Control panell and then, open Network connections. Right-click on your Wireless Network Adapter and click 'ENABLE' !
. . . . .
Next check!
Right-click My Computer, and then click on 'MANAGE' !
On the left side click 'Services and Applications', and then 'Services'.
Find 'Wireless Zero Configuration' and double-click.
Check the Startup type is Automatic, and if the service is started.
if not, change it to automatic, and then click on START.
Click APPLY and OK, and than closle Computer management console.
. . . . .
Do you use some Software for your WireLess ?
If so, then close and exit it!
Do you see a network icon near the clock on the right bottom of your toolbar?
Right-click on the icon and click on 'View available networks' !
If not, then open Control panell and then, open Network connections. Right-click on your Wireless lan and click 'View available networks' !
You should see a list and your Network now?
If so, then restart your Laptop, use your WL software (if any) and try to find and connect your network.
If you don;t see any network, again close and exit the software and try to connect as I said before.
If it works, than something is wrong with that software.
Do you have a CD with installation of that software?
If so, than first UNINSTALL the software, restart your Laptop and try to install it again.
If it doesn't work, then, (again) uninstall it, restart your laptop and continue to use your Windows Wireless Zero Connection instead.
