My screen has squigly lines across it and if I play with the buttons this goes away. I cant tell if there is any water damage becase I dont know what color the sticker inside was when I purchased the phone.
What I've seen on those indicator stickers is that they are white and when your phone has water damage, red spots show up on the sticker. maybe that's not for all phones.
but hope that helps.

lines may be caused by AC pickup. if so, usually the lines move slowly up the screen, and two major sets are usually displayed. wavy lines may also be caused by a local TV station transmitting on the same output channel, either 3 or 4. If you can change the output channel, this may help. Also, try disconnecting all cable or satellite signals and see if the problem goes away. May be an adjacent channel bleeding over. If the lines go away when putting the dvd on pause, the problem is probably in the dvd power supply. Cool the unit down by unplugging it for a while and then try it. If the problem goes away then, separate the dvd player from other devices to prevent overheating
first bad link !!!
tell me if you get these lines away when you do little hits on the side of the tv ,
if so that mean you have bad soldering pin and need resoldering
regards
please don't forget to rate
thx
have you tried other devices for input...vcr, or other dvd players to see if it is a problem with the player or with the tv? Check the output setting for the dvd player (1080i etc) and ensure you are connecting to the proper inputs for either analog or digital signals (RCA inputs or RGB).
my screen gets frozen and lines appear
the screen was going all squiggly, but I could get it back. Now, it will not go back to normal. I can no longer read texts.
