Loading cartridge how do I feed the new cartridge through this machine?

I have a casion hr-100tm calculator and found the easy way to load a new roll of paper. Take a 3x5 index card and cut it on 45 degree angle, then with angle on the right of the machine feet it into the machine pushing it as you go. Once it begins to feed so you can pull on it, then take other end of card, scotch tape to new roll of adding machine tape. As you feed the card through the roll of paper foillows. Once it has fed into machine cut off 3 x5 card. Easy.
The problem is that all rolls of machine paper are not equal and the thinner paper doesn't want to feed. This way it works for any type. Hope it hellps.

Unfortunately you may have to force feed the paper through as the printer is trying to pull it, it works but you have to stop pushing once it takes the paper!

Your machine needs to be serviced.
replace the cartridge with the original one.
it can not print if one cartridge is missing or not original.

Good day, I suggest you must clean the roller and and use appropriate type of papers. to clean the roller, press power button to turn on the machine then remove any paper from the auto sheet feeder. press menu until maintenance appear the press ok. and try to load load 3 or more a4 letter sized paper and see if the the paper is automatically fed in and then out of the machine.

So it sounds like the machine is not feeding paper from the paper cassette. This is a common problem.
There are 2 possibilities. 1 easy and one a little tougher. The simple fix is cleaning the paper feed tires. Just pull out the paper cassette, then remove all the paper. You will see 2 felt type pads on the spring loaded metal plate. Spray these 2 pads with some glass cleaner. Dry the metal plate a little then lock the plate down and re-install the cassette without paper! Make sure the lower tray is selected for paper feeding and press the print button. The machine should try to feed a few times then shut down with a P in the display. Reset the P using the clear key then press print again. Repeat this procedure 5 or 6 times. Then remove the tray, dry the pads a bit then re-load the paper, re-install the tray and give it a try. If dirty feed rollers were the cause then this procedure will fix it. Let me know how this works out.

A cust. brought this one in this morning.
The paper was jamming just before the toner cart. and the machine was damaging IU's
The back cartridge seating guide plate had snapped loose from the wall.
I popped it back into the wall, secured it and now it's working.

never let a machine defeat you
from your DESKTOP go to SART, PRINTER; right click on icon for your printer; PROPERTIES invoke insert cartridge selection from maintenance or tools menu. make believe you inserted new one
it then will run alignment tests and this shoudl work.
also, DUST clogs the paper roller. get spray dust cleaner at office max or staples, office depot, or big lots; spray the heck out of it to get all the dust out of the paper roller; also turn machine on and off several times. every time a printer turns on it automatically triggers the roller to spin to eject a sheet of paper (whether there is paper loaded or not). repeat this several times.

To force a Cartridge change press and hold down the Paper feed (load eject) button for over 5 seconds and the cartridges will move into a change position. Please note: if the cartridges move to a position where only the Black cartridge can be changed pressing the Paper feed button once will move the head so that the colour can be changed.

Before changing the carts it is recommended that you run the head cleaning utility.

When you have poor print quality and have tried the head cleaning utility it is recommended that you replace the cartridges. Ift the red lights aren't on to indicate the ink is out you need to force the cartridges into a change position. To do this press and hold down the paper feed button (load eject) for over 5 seconds and the cartridges will move into a change position. Please note: if the cartridges move to a position where only the Black cartridge can be changed pressing the Paper feed button once will move the head so that the colour can be changed.

I have the same problem. There is a little arm attached to the base of the pinch roller. It's broken on mine causing the problem. Attempted to epoxy the part back together, did not work, part is too small where broken. Don't know if there is a replacement part. New P-Touch was $39.00 at Staples so I'll probably just buy a new one. You have to be pretty mechanically inclined to get the thing apart anyhow.

I am assuming you are using a PF-2 printer. If you are using a standard HP78 ink cartridge instead of the Microboards cartridge, the unit will only print approx 5 discs before it stops. The microboards cartridges have a security tag under the barcode label that is scanned by a magnetic reader on the left hand part of the unit. If you are careful, you can use a razor blade and remove the label from a microboards cartridge and tape it on the front of a HP ink and save yourself about $25 an ink cartridge...
