Question about Cuisinart DGB-600 Coffee Maker
We just discovered this problem this morning. I put the coffee beans into the grinder, added the water, and was greeted by a loud spinning whine, instead of the loud spinning of grinding coffee. I took the beans out of the grinder basket, put the cover on the grinder basket, closed the lid and pressed the on switch. The blades turn. I then added enough coffee beans to make 4 cups. The blades sort of went around, but in no way did they grind the beans. What should I do now?
ONE COMMON PROBLEM IN THIS MACHINES, SINCE THEY ARE MADE IN CHINA, THE QUALITY OF THE BEARINGS DETERIORATE IN ABOUT EXACTLY ONE YEAR. AND THE GRINDER NO LONGER WORKS. THE BEARING BUSHING ITS MADE OF BRASS, AND THE LOAD OF THE COFFEE BEANS OVER KILL THE BEARING. ITS A RIP-OFF....
