Convergience not working, three color pictures and concaved top and bottom. Is there a module that I can replace?

Check the small brown fuse FL231 located just to the lower right of the flyback. There are 3 small brown fuses. The middle one is FL231. Most likely it is blown. The reason it blows is because of the lead free solder used on the new boards. If you turn the board over you will probably find cracked solder joints on the flyback terminals. Re-solder all of the flyback terminals and replace the fuse if it is blown. This fuse tells the TV that it is a rear frojection TV and not a standard CRT

When I pluged tv in it blows internal fuse immediatly.

If it is a CRT TV.

Plz check inside the TV mostly rectifier Diodes, Capacitor , transistor in the powersupply section would have gone short or then Flyback transformer or Flyback Transistor would have gone bad.

My 10 year old KV-27V22 turned off by itself and won't turn back on. No fault code(standby light) no nothing. Power to set is good.

Take the back off of the set and check the fuse if it is bad replace it be sure to uuplug your tv before you take the back off of it after you replace fuse if it is bad plug it up and see if it will come on if the fuse blows again then you have a deeper problem like the bridge shorted or transistor, restors in the power supply of the set.

all sets must have rated fuse for protection. some units now use what is called a PICO-FUSE.this type of fuse is soldered into the pc board. usually marked with location i.d. F301,F901,F400. etc. these fuses look like resistors or in-line coils. check continuity w/ohm meter. if new fuse blows as soon as you plug in tv, suspect bridge diode ciruit or main filter cap(large ripple filter by main fuse. if new fuse blows when you try to turn on, suspect 130v regulator or high voltage short(horizontal-output, flyback transformer) good luck!

Your TV is in the protection mode. First, locate the horizontal output transistor. This is found very close to, or next to, the horizontal output transformer (also known as the flyback). The flyback should be on an aluminum heat sink, or on the side of the metal chassis. Disconnect or unsolder two of the three legs of the transistor. Measure it with your meter, or plug in the set with the light bulb attached across the fuse.
If the transistor is shorted, or the light bulb doesn’t glow bright anymore, replace the transistor and plug back in. If the light bulb glows bright again, you must replace both the flyback and horizontal output transistor simultaneously. In some cases this will fix the set, but sometimes there are multiple problems with a set.
Go to where the flyback is, and start measuring the diodes and capacitors on the flyback itself. If you don't find any shorts there, it could be a shorted vertical output IC, a shorted sound IC, a shorted disc capacitor in the Hi Voltage/sweep circuit, or in rare cases, a shorted capacitor or tuner.Feel free to ask and post whatever the result of your troubleshooting..

Hope this may help;

Tv dead

no problem

replace by same number.

but remember before you replace check the following.

  1. check for normal output from power supply.
  2. check components connected to flyback transformer.like capacitors & diodes.
  3. check for print short.
  4. while replacing h/output be careful to check heat sink compound & mica sheet normal.
  5. put on the set
  6. if still it blows then flyback transformer is faulty.
  7. hope this will help.
  8. good luck.

whenever fuse blows every time it is the indication of short circuit in tv. so please do not put fuse unless you know the cause of blowing fuse. these are the reasons of blowing fuse. 1 main filter cap.short. 2 rectifier diode short. 3 swithing transistor short 4 horizontal output transistor short 5 caps & diodes connected to flyback transformer short. 6 print short. 7 at last if every thing ok then flyback transformer defective. hope this will help. if you are not a tech person call skilled tech to fix it. good luck

Tv will not turn on

Yes, it is most likely the fuse. I have seen many of the fuses in those Panasonics "pop" for no apparent reason. If you feel comfortable, you can replace that fuse yourself. Carefully remove the back, follow the AC power cord and where the AC cord attaches to the PC board will be a small glass fuse. It is most likely a GMA 6.3A fuse. Replace that fuse and the set should work. If the original fuse is good or if the new fuse blows out too, have the set serviced by a qualified tech.

Possibly a resistor that's becoming defective... it's changing value thus increasing current. like if the resistor has a rating of a 10k Ohm and now it's changing to a 30K Ohm and the current (amps) is supposed to be around .50Amps and now it's rising to .75Amps or higher, so it would blow the fuse so as not to further damage any other high voltage or sensetive component. Is the fuse you are replacing the same as rated for the tv? ie; 250V 1.25Amp FB (fast blow) or SB (slow blow) it should say on the circut board where the fuse plugs into.

My tv power does not come on

When a fuse blows out thats an indication that theres a short in the set and the fuse is installed there to prevent a fire fom happening in the set. unless you know the HI Voltage safty issues with a tv set there are no user serviceable parts inside these sets and these tvs should only be worked on by trained service personel! The problem that occouring here could be a shorted or leaky bridge rectifier, a shorted and or a bad horizontal output transistor as well as the flyback transistor and the trsnsformer, or a bad componet in the power supply.. Good Luck
