The trick is to set the time and never have anyone call you :-)

Or, contact whoever your CID provider is and tell them the clock offset is wrong. In my case, I have a Packet8 box and I had to go in and make the time correct for my time zone. Access instructions were on their web site.

I have a new XC0436 weather station that is showing time/date 12 hours behind. Tried everything possible but apart doing a manual setting the sync setting is wrong

While trying to setup internet time syncing on my new XC0436 I found this question. The answer from Fred is a bit brief so I thought I should add some details. When the XC0436 is synced to an internet time source it gets the time in UTC. To convert this to local time it uses a manually entered offset. The user manual lists the following steps to adjust the offset:

1. press and hold CLOCK SET key for 2 seconds to enter time set mode
2. the first value displayed is the offset (it appears that only whole hours are possible)
3. press the up or down arrows on the back to adjust the offset (e.g. 08 for Hong Kong)
4. press and hold the CLOCK SET key to confirm and exit

How to set the time on dmr eh59

Automatic clock setting is done if you initially accept to use the guide plus system (should do). Only if for some reason it does not work, you can set the clock manually following these steps Clock Usually, the unit's setup function automatically adjusts the
clock to correct time. Under some reception conditions, however,
the unit cannot set the clock automatically.
In this case, follow the operation steps below to manually set the clock.
1 Press [3, 4] to select "Off" of "Automatic" and press
[OK].
2 Press [2, 1] to select the item you want to change.
The items change as follows:
Hour,Minute,Second,Day,Month.Year

3 Press [3, 4] to change the setting.
You can also use the numbered buttons for setting.
4 Press [OK] when you have finished the settings.
The clock starts.
If a TV station transmits a time setting signal, and when
"Automatic" in the Clock setting menu is set to "On", the automatic
time correction function checks the time and if necessary it is
adjusted several times every day.

My wii is on standby mode (red light and blinking) and i cannot get it to go on (green light) it is a brand new wii and i have made sure that all the connections are correct!! plz help!!!

The red light should NOT be blinking. Disconnect ALL of the wires for a few hours. I mean everything. Unplug the the power adapter from the wall and everything. about 3-6 hours later plug everything back in and try to power it up. If it doesn't work you need to contact Nintendo before your warranty runs out. Or you may be able to just take it back to the store where you purchased it. Good luck and thanks!
