Fax your receipt and serial number to the manufacturer's support desk. They will then be willing to reset it for you.

Then you probably stole it. Garmin's anti-theft is pretty creative. Enjoy your $700 paper weight.

Send it to Garmin, They will reset it. For a fee I'm sure.

I forgot my pin code for the nuvi265 I dont know any way to get it to reset.

You can take it back to your security location which you set when you entered the PIN code. It will then automatically unlock and you can change the PIN code to something you will remember.

What is the pin code as ive forgot. its the code you have when you buy it with thanks jean. and how would i be able to change the code

The SECURITY LOCATION is where you first set up your GPS, it could of been where you live or work at.

If you go with-in 50 meters of the security location the GPS will autmatically unlock..... once unlocked you can re-new your pin number.

If you dont know where your security location or pin number is you would have to send your unit back to Garmin with the proper receipt of ownership.

I forgot my pin number and my device is locked

You would have to go with-in 50 meters of the Security Location you set up your unit....that could be your home or office.... you had to call Garmin to Register the unit, when you did it set that location as a security spot.

Once there it will automatically unlock for you, dont forget to enter new pin number before you leave that area.... if you dont know where it was at, you must send the unit back to Garmin with proper receipts.

Dont set your security location as your home, thiefs will know and change it so they could now have a working gps

I need to know how to reset password to my garmin nuvi where2

The secure location is your "back-up key" in case you forget your PIN. If you have forget your pin, all you have to do is physically go to the secure location. Make sure your antenna is up and that you have a satellite lock. When you are in the secure location, your GPS will NOT ask you for the PIN when you turn it on. You'll then be able to reach the main menu and change the PIN and secure location to something else if you desire.

If you have forgot both the PIN and secure location you are out of luck. You'll have to send your unit back to Garmin to have it unlocked. Garmin may charge you for this service.

I cant unlock my garmin nuvi350 keeps asking for my pin i dont even remember putting in a pin i dont know but i really need help please someone thanks

the only way to unlock a gps is to return to the security location (where you put the pin in for the first time) or return the unit to garmin to get it reset.

Did you buy it brand new? If so, then someone must have returned it previously after they set the security pin. The only way to gain access to your GPS is to either go to the saved security location (if one was also set) which after acquiring the satelites will unlock the device and then you can reset the pin, or to call Garmin or go to a Garmin authorized dealer. This security pin is there for a reason.

Pin Removal

To reset, you have to go to the home location. That is the security location.

The only other solution to unlock this model GPS is to send it to Garmin with the proof of purchase. They are the only ones who can unlock your GPS. If you read the instruction booklet that came with the GPS, they expain the same thing I am indicating here. Call the Garmin support for details.

Someone changed my pin on nuvi 660

It can't be reset without entering the correct PIN or driving to the security location. Failing this, the unit must be sent back to Garmin.
