Re: system froze - can not print or set to fax

Does anything at all appear on the control panel?  Is it possible that it tried to print the report and then jammed?  Does it give you the normal beeping error sound at all or just not respond to buttons?

Are you able to do press the number of copies or any other buttons working?

Every time I fax out, there's a confirm report print out. How di I turn this off?

To disable a confirmation report each time you fax, you need to make a change in the Parameter Settings. To do this, perform the following:
  • Press User Tools
  • Using the up and down arrows, select Fax Features
  • Press OK
  • The "switch" you need to modify is switch #3.
  • After hitting OK, use the arrows to scroll down to switch 03.
  • Once there, press 00
  • Press User Tools
Your machine is now set up to fax without printing a confirmation report. The transaction will still be stored and can be made part of a more general report.

I am still unable to receive faxes that are printed automatically when they arrive. they mst be going to memory and i cannot get them to print out of memory. can yo please help me. i paid for this service...

If you are getting a low ink message no you will not be able to fax until this is resolved. Once you replace the ink cart. then you can get to the steps where you can clear the fax memory until then the steps that we would give you will not work.

You can visit click on your printer model then on support and you can download the manual in this manual there will be step by step instructions on how to clear the memory on the fax. this can also be cleard once you print them keep that in mind. so first purchse ink then your going to print your faxes by hitting that button twice the reason why it will not work now is because your low on ink.

If you like this solution please hit accept.

Report of fax

Hey renzo737 - Follow these steps to have your machine print a report after you send each fax:

1)Hit the Fax button, then the Menu button.
2)Press the < and > buttons to scroll until you reach
TX Settings. Hit OK.
3)Use the < and > buttons to scroll until you reach TX REPORT.
Then hit ok.
4)First you want ATTACH TX IMAGE and then you want
PRNT FOR EACH TX.(it may also say as TX REPORT)

On your machine under TX report it may just say PRINT ERROR ONLY, which means only print if there's an error, or the PRNT FOR EACH TX. You'll find it easily. You want the print for each tx option. This will print a report and give confirmation that your fax went through after each fax. If you have any problems understandind this or need more help just give a shout.
If this solves your problem PLEASE rate this as fixed. Like I said if you need more help just add a comment and I'll be happy to assist you further. Thanks and have a good one.

Hi, at the moment my panafax UF-770 is printing a report for every transmission. I want to stop that, so that it only prints a report if the fax did not go through and the monthly or so report. I cannot...

To change the communications journal settings:

1= off
3= incomplete only

Once you have chosen 1,2, or 3, hit Set

Hit STOP to exit programming mode.

This model only stores the last 100 transactions (sent or received faxes).

To print the last 100 transactions:

The machine will return to an idle / ready state when printing has completed.

Repeated Fax TX report printing

Solution #3 solved it for me. The report kept printing over and over, so I used the menus (roughly) mentioned in Soluton #3 by guest.

My problem was the printer was trying to print the TX Error Report with the image attached. That made the report too big for standard sized paper, so the machine kept telling me to check the paper size, and I'd hit 'OK', and that made the machine try to print the report again, for it continued to think it had not printed a complete report.

Here's what I did...

Go to: Fax Menu
Arrow right ( >) to Maintenance/Settings, hit, 'OK'
Arrow right to (>) to Device Settings, hit 'OK',
Fax Settings, hit 'OK',
Arrow down ( v ) to TX Settings, hit 'OK',
Arrow down ( v ) to TX Report, OK
Select 'Print error only', hit 'OK',
Attach TX image, Select 'NO', hit 'OK"

With the instruction to not attach the TX image, it will print out the error report without the TX image, the report will fit on the paper, and it will clear this problem.

Good luck!
