Voicemail message My N73 shows the voicemail icon all of the time, even when there are no messages in my inbox. Everytime I switch the phone on a message comes up which says "New voice message on line one". When you press the listen key the voicemail box is empty. How can I get rid of this?

Re: Voicemail message

This problem has arisen before from a software conflict between Orange and Nokia. Orange could not cure it but a firmware update is scheduled to deal with it. I couldn't wait so I placed my SIM in a spare phone, called my mobile number and left a message from a landline, listened to the message on the alternate phone, deleted it and bingo the voicemail icon disappeared. I put the SIm back in the N73 and touch wood its not returned. Hope this works for you because if you are on are on your own.

Forgot unlock code voicemail kyocera jax

Go to this link...

Scroll down to page #39 to where it says Use Voicemail and follow the instructions!! As per the service tech I spoke to on the phone to find this link, following these instructions will automatically erase your old voicemail unlock code as well as any as yet unheard messages.

Just in case anyone still has difficulty in finding the instructions.....

Set Up your VoicemailBefore your phone can receive voicemail messages, you must set up a 4-10 digit passcode and record a personal voicemail greeting. When you have set up your voicemail, all unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to voicemail, even if your phone is in use or turned off.1. Press and hold the 1 key.2. Follow the system prompts to create a password and record a greeting.
Check your Voicemail

When you receive a voicemail message, a
notification with a voicemail message icon
appears at the top of your screen.
• At the voicemail notification, select Call to call
your voicemail number and follow the system
prompts to retrieve the message.
Select Ignore to clear the notification without
checking messages. The notification icon
remains on top of the screen until you listen to
the message
• When only the voicemail message icon
appears on top of the screen, select
Voicemailand follow the system prompts
to retrieve the message.
Best of luck!!

Voice Message Icon always displaying

The voice mail symbol is sent to your handset by the network when you get a voicemail, they then send the handset another message to remove the icon once you have listened to the voicemail... Sometimes an error occurs and the phone doesnt receive the removal message...

Try getting a friend or using another phone send yourself a voicemail, then using your phone, check your voicemails, listen to the one you have and delete it... The icon should go... However if its a hardware fault with the handset display then this will not fix it...
