How do I correct an upside-down image?

When I open the BisonCam on the desktop, the image isn't upside down but when I use the Yahoo Messenger and open the webcam, the image is upside-down. I already checked the Camera Settings and the Vertical or Horizontal box is left unchecked. The settings are okay but the image isn't when I broadcast the image online or live. Not only in Yahoo Messenger but other websites as well (when I capture videos online or live). How do I invert it? How do correct an upside-down image?

Why is that i am upside down when i use my webcam at yahoo messenger

The image in your Webcam Uploader window might be inverted because of your camera setting.

To change the setting:

Click Messenger and select "My Webcam."
In the window that opens, click the "File" menu, select "Preferences," and choose "Webcam".

Click the "Camera Settings" button.
There is usually a checkbox for "Invert Image" or "Mirror Vertical." Un-check this box if one exists. If you can't find this checkbox, try searching the other tabs.

My LG S900 cam not working with messenger

Hi Rushguy55

It may be a Direct X issue.

First,
***Follow the link below to Test ur webcam using Internet explorer
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/messenger75/webcam/webcam-03.html

The above page will check compatibility with Y! messenger.

Minimum Requirements:
For your webcam to work with Yahoo! Messenger, it needs to support the following:
  1. Either one of these image sizes:
    • Small image size: 160 x 120
    • Large image size: 320 x 240
  2. RGB, I420, or IYUV formats. (Each is fine; we recommend RGB 24.)
  3. Microsoft DirectX version 9.0
To get this information, click here to download a Microsoft application that checks to see if your webcam device meets these requirements.
To make it easy, when you’re asked where to Save the program, just save it on your Desktop.
Once it’s downloaded, here’s what to do:
  1. Double-click the amcap.exe file on your desktop.
    • If you have more than one webcam installed, click the Devices menu and select the one you want to use.
  2. Click the Options menu, then click “Video capture Pin.”
  3. Under “Color Space/Compression:”, choose one of the following formats:
    • RGB 24 (our recommendation)
    • I420
    • IYUV
Note: If one of the options above isn’t in the list, then your webcam is not compatible with Yahoo! Messenger.
  4. Under “Output Size”, choose one of the following:
    • 160 x 120
    • 320 x 240
Note: If one of the options above isn’t in the list, then your webcam is not compatible with Yahoo! Messenger.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Close the ampcap application.
  7. From your desktop, click “Start” and select “Run”.
  8. In the run box, type: dxdiag
  9. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
  10. On the System Tab under “System Information”, look for DirectX version. Verify that your version is DirectX 9.0. If it is, just click Exit. If your version is older than 9.0 (any lower number), click here to download the latest version of DirectX.
  11. Start the webcam from Messenger by clicking My Webcam in the Messenger menu.

hope this helps. . .
