Remove Regionalisation

Hi All

After having my HT-Q100 repaired by an official Samsung repair centre, I was unable to play any DVD's - even UK ones!

So I phoned Samsung, they said I should return it to the repair centre for it to be fixed.

I couldn't be bothered to waste time on this yet again, so I logged onto and found that you can remove regionalisation on DVD players and it's totally legal!

Therefore the following instructions are for removing the regionalisation on the Samsung HT-Q100 so you can play any DVD's! I've just carried this out and it's fixed the DVD problem and can once again play DVD's!

1. Remove disc from tray.
2. Switch off player and unplug from mains.
3. Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect mains.
4. Turn on player with remote. Wait for player to finish loading and display 'no disc'.
5. Press enter on remote. (There will be no on-screen response.)
6. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 on the remote. (There will be no on-screen response.)
7. Press enter on the remote. Player will automatically shut off.
8. Turn player on.
9. turn off.
10. Turn player off then on again.
11. Player is now region-free.

Hello I have a JBL on stage 2 that I bought in the

Congratulations. You are among the first to approach us after having done a lot of the research up front instead of considering us a proxy Search Engine secretary.

I'm going with OS200ID as the unit's model number.

The DC input and physical fit are the only considerations for the dock's power - 12V/1.25A.

Item 190555626796 IS indeed a universal voltage (100-240 vac) sourced supply. The seller, DIGIDAVE, invites queries, too.

I'd say this is exactly what you need to use the the OS anywhere on the planet with a plug adapter.

You can get a 3 pin plug from many shops, but make sure the voltage rating on the back says it will work on 240V if using in britain as America use 115v electriccal system.

Denon D-90 Hi Fi - have lost interconnetion leads

Gents - not sure where you live, but try these UK links. The D65 was a similar system produced a year or two earlier, if the cable is 15 pin my bet is it is the same cable. Good luck, better look after my cables carefully!

Just clicks and wont turn on

Hi Justin6992,
You have been very honest and told us the facts behind the fault, thanks for your good fault description...

Now what you have done by flicking that little switch is:-
Altered the input power design of the stereo system.

The switch is there so that the user can connect it to either the USA power supply of 110-120 volts, or connect to the Australian/New Zealand power supply of 230-240 volts.

When you turned the switch over you lowered the input to 110-120 volts yet it was still plugged into a 230-240 volt power supply.

This has blown a component inside the power supply and
now it must be replaced.
This is a specialised replacement process by a service man..

The clicking sound is made by the internal power supply (Its called a switched mode power supply) and it has detected the blown component and it is trying to reset itself automatically for you, but it cant because of the faulty component.
Its very clever in its design and if it wasnt clicking there would have been quite a loud 'bang" and a lot of smoke when the switch was moved to 110-120 volt position.

Regards From YUBEUT
