Generally speaking no. It might be the control board or the power supply or the control panel that is bad. You can take the top off and there should be a set of technician instructions that say what to test.

Graco swing

I'm not sure if you tried a different outlet plug yet, but I would try to eliminate whether if its the power source (outlet) or the swing itself. Also, if the outlet has a reset/test buttons on it, then it might have tripped itself.

Admiral dryer super capacity dryer won't heat up and light doesn't stay on. It happened when we first brought it home years ago and the repair may said to reset some button but I don't kn

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? If you plug something else into the outlet, does it work? If not, check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

Door Switch

If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch. Check for continuity you should have none with door open, and should have a reading when closed. If not replace the door switch.

Thermal Fuse / Thermal Cut out

On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows if the dryer overheats) mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel or behind the front panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing or is sometimes round and made of metal and plastic.

If the fuse has blown, it has no continuity. When this happens, your dryer either just stops heating, or it doesn't work at all. Be sure to inspect the venting/heating system before replacing the fuse this is the most common reason for blowing the fuse. (You can't re-set this type of fuse.)

Wiring

Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, burns and the connection breaks. In this has happened to your dryer, you need to replace the power cord and the terminal block inside the dryer to which the wire is attached.

Inspiron 2305 power cord doesn't turn the desktop on

After connecting the AC adapter to a wall outlet and to the computer press the power button the right side of the inspiron. The button itself should then lite up white if the power adapter is good. If not, check the power outlet you are using. Plug in something else and see if it works on this wall outlet. Some outlets are connected to a wall switch. If its still a nogo you may need to replace the AC adapter.

Thers no power to my washing machine.changed the fuse and theresstill no power.what do i do ? thank you emma

Hi emma... Unplug the machine from it's current outlet and use a heavy duty extension cord to plug it into another outlet that you know works [plug a blow dryer in to check it].

If the washing machine works then you know the problem is in the outlet or the wiring to the outlet. IF the washing machine still doesn't work you know the problem is within the washing machine itself. Possibly the lid switch or a fuse within the machine. J.

Power to switch, will not come on, is there a reset button?

Try to unplug the power adapter from the printer. Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet in the wall.
printmastert_61.jpg

Wait at least 10 seconds before you re-plug the power cord into the power outlet (bypass any power strips or surge devices). Re-plug the power adapter into the printer. If printer won't automatically power on, press the power button. If that doesn't help, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

My fridgedaire window unit A/C and heat won't come on. I had replaced an outside light fixture a couple of weeks ago and had turned off the circuit breaker that affected this unit too. Now the unit...

Plug a light into the outlet used for the A/C, if the light does not come on when reset then the circuit breaker that provided the power to the outlet need to be reset or replaced.

It was on and all of a sudden it just shut off and want come back on

Unplug the T.V. and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and see if it comes on. If it doesn't come on try using a different power outlet, if it still doesn't come on then the power supply may have gone bad and would need to be replaced.

The printer will not start when you push the start button. It is a new printer

Most likely, this issue might be caused by Start button being stuck. If you can't turn the product ON by pushing the Start button, double check if the Start button is somehow stuck, and also make sure that the unit is firmly plugged in to the wall outlet. If that doesn't resolve the issue, try a different outlet because you might be experiencing power outage on the outlet where it's plugged in. If that won't resolve it, I'm afraid the unit has to be serviced.

The dryer wont show any sign of power. The plug works fine

Hi,

Press and hold start button for 4-5 seconds.Make sure that the start button has been fully pushed down or turned far enough to activate the dryer.

After that plug something else into the same outlet. If it works, you know you have power to the dryer. If it doesn’t work, you’ll need to check for any blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers.

If the power is there, you need to check door switch, thermal fuse, thermostats, and start switch to see if one of these is faulty.
Make sure that the control settings are appropriate, and that any buttons are fully depressed.

Good Luck and have a nice day.
