When I try to scan an image with my Epson CX 9400 I get the abovemessage. I downloaded the file R260-ICCs but do not know where to install them now. thx. I'm using an Epson CX 9400 and System 10.5.6.

- Thanks for your suggestions. I don't know where to find my default printer directory. Any suggestions? Also I checked the color management tab but neither manual nor automatic are listed.

- Thank you for your additional help. I went to that site and downloaded the printer driver update, rebooted everything, and still--I'm getting the same message. grrrr... any other ideas??
The ICC's should be installed in the default printer directory.
Also, you may want to check the printer profile. In printer properties under the "color management" tab check to see if automatic or manual is highlighted. If manual is highlighted, be sure the print profile matches that of the paper you are using. You can select any of the included profiles as the default or add your own from a third source. Such third-source profiles are most often specified by your software provider
If they fail to fix the problem then try Apple support. You'll need to go to their support site and arrange for a "callback". http://www.apple.com/support/expert/
click on "Begin your Apple Expert experience now (requires Apple ID Login)". Describe your problem and leave a telephone number and the most convenient time to receive the callback.
