I'm sorry, but that's a ******** answer. If that were the case, parts of the screen would remain bright, which is not what the dude is talking about.I'm sorry, but that's a ******** answer. If that were the case, parts of the screen would remain bright, which is not what the dude is talking about.

Connect your laptop to an external monitor and switch to monitor. If the external monitor shows the desktop, then the complaint is in the lcd/led display unit means the screen. Replace the screen. If the external monitor also shows the complaint, then it is normally due the mch(media controller hub) . It comes as separate card unit in some models and onboard for some other models.Only an experienced technician can solve that issue. In some rare cases it is due to a corrupted BIOS. Reply if this helped you.
If you can try hooking it to another computer, if the problem persists then it's probably the monitor. If it works correctly then a new video card may be in order.
Have you verified that the problem is indeed your monitor and not the video card on your PC? i would start by connecting the monitor to a laptop or another PC to verify that the same issue occurs no matter what the source. Once you've verified that, you're likely dealing with a monitor that requires repair or replacement. Hopefully it's under warranty. Hope this helps a bit.
Simplest solution first; check your cables. If the connections are good, but it still doesn't work, try your monitor with another computer. If it works, you need to update the drivers on your computer. If it doesn't,
the problem is with the monitor. If your computer needs drivers from LG for the monitor, you need access to another computer (or another monitor to go online). Go to LG's website and look for SUPPORT. Download drivers for your monitor specific to your operating system (Windows, Mac OSX, etc.) and install.
safemode means that windows has detected something wrong. Go to programs accessories and system tools. run scan disk then defragment. Shoould solve problem. Make sure system is able to breathe. Try putting a fan on it to see if it runs cooler.
If it fades linearly, it is probably the high voltage inverter for the backlight fluorescent lamp.
Generally, the lamp dies over time with some flickering of it first.
That inverter is normally on a small, separate board and once the unit is open, it is easy to locate and replace.
go to control panel and click on screem after click on screem saver select none or try configurate to more time for to active the screem saver, and if it is not that you must take it to a technician
This monitor is bad replacement is the only option as the CRT monitors are obselete you could get a good deal on one if you are not shopping for a flat panel!
