I forgot my password

you can reset the router to factory default by pressing the Reset button at the back of EW-7206APg for 15 seconds. This will erase all the setting in EW-7206APg and restore the factory default. after that
  1. Open Internet Explorer, at the address bar, type and press Enter.
  2. It prompts for username and password.
  3. The default username is admin. The password is 1234. Click on Login. You will get the configuration page of the EW-7206APG.

How do I recover the enable password on my Trapeze mobility exchange mx-8. Or how do I do a factory reset?

Hi Mate.

In case you still need to do this, or in case someone else stumbles on this problem and needs an answer, below is the the solution.

Connect to the MX device via console cable and recycle power.

Interrupt the boot process by pressing "q" followed by the "Enter" key when prompted.

at the boot> prompt enter the following command:

boot> boot OPT+=default (NOTE: This is case sensitive) and press "ENTER"

Presto, your devices boot with factory defaults.

1-With the unit on, place a paper clip into the hole on the back of the unit labeled Reset.
2-Hold paper clip down for 10 seconds and release.
3-The unit will reboot on its own. Once the WLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.

Its because it got reset accidently and then how would i restore it back again. or can it still be restored back??

Sorry you will have to set it up again

Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults. However, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings.

hope this helps

Wireless access point Pda 1360

To perform a reset, please follow the steps below:

Step 1 With the unit on, place a paper clip into the hole on the back on the unit labeled Reset
Step 2 Hold paper clip down for 10 seconds and release.

Note: Do not repower unit during this procedure.

Step 3 The unit will reboot on its own. Once the WLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.

Note: Resetting the router does not reset the firmware to an earlier version. It will change all settings back to factory defaults including IP address, username and password.

Need password to internet

You can't.

What you can do is reset the entire router. There should be a button on the back you can press in with a paper clip, hold it down for a few seconds, lights should flash.

Your router will then be reset to factory defaults. Without any more information I can not tell you how to find the default user/pass to log in.

Have another user wanting to access, don't remember password

The easiest thing to do is reset it to factory defaults. Unplug the power, use a pin or something to hold down the reset button, wait 30 seconds, and plug the power back in while holding the reset button. Then it'll be returned to factory defaults, and use the old password of, I beleive, admin.
