Question about Canon imageCLASS D780 All-In-One Laser Printer
How to replace the Fuser / Fixing unit? and what is the procedure?
Move the top back like you're going to replace the cartridge. Then unscrew the control panel (one screw and it will kind of jiggle out). Then unplug it and set the control panel aside.
Take all the left side panels off.
Look where the control panel was, and you'll see a hole where you can reach a long screw driver in and take out 2 screws.
On the other side, there's another screw that's not so easy to take out. You'll probably have to get a stubby phillips screw driver, and then cut the handle off THAT. Very difficult, but that's the last of the screws.
Unplug the three plugs, and jiggle the old fuser out. Reverse the procedures to put the new one in.
