Question about Panasonic AJ-D230H DV/Mini DV VCR
Hello. My DVC pro deck won't move forward. When I try and record using Final Cut Pro edit to tape, it gets about 3 seconds in that shuts of and gives me error code E-61, The SUpply Reel Motor has Locked Up, or E-41, The FG (rotational speed) signal has not ben output from the cylinder motor, and E-2 - which doesn't have a definition listed in the manual. What can I do myself to fix this??? I can't afford to spend the mega dollars that the repair shop will require!
If you're experienced in capacitor replacement, check the capacitors on the mechanical interface board. When these caps fail, you get mechanical errors like you described. I generally replace all the capacitors on this board as a precaution; I've never had a callback when I replace them all.
