Question about RCA F36450 36" TV
I have two universal remote controls that have, up till now, allowed me to control this tv just fine. Suddenly the other day, neither of these remotes will cause any kind of response from the tv...so we replaced the batteries in both and even tried reprogramming both remotes to no avail. It's as though my tv has gone blind and can't see anything coming from my remotes. Any idea's? Thanks!
Unplug the tv, wait 1 minute so it resets to factory settings then reprogram the remote

You need to change the I/R receiver on the front panel pc board (which can be popped out of the top front of the tv on the plastic key panel without removing the back cover) Location# IR13401 Part# 245282

Eagle 57 had the answer, your TV's are blind. The remote control sensing circuit in the TV is faulty. No remote will control it anymore.

Tips for a great answer:

Press the button of the device you want to
control (for example TV).
If the device turns on, press another button,
to confirm (for example CHANNEL UP)
If the device you selected (TV) responds,
you will not need to program the remote.
If the device you selected (TV) does
not respond, you will need to program
There are very rare RCA remotes, with Sylvania TV can be programmed. Just try the above codes with your present RCA remote control. If it does not help, buy the above model RCA universal remote. You will get code list and all other related documents, how to programme it or so, with the device you do purchase. OK.
