I bought this TV and late one night it went OUT. The picture had been intermittent before the TV "died". I have heard that the problem is with the power supply on the circuit board. How do I fix? Yhanks, JImBO
Would it be cheaper to just buy a new TV (mine is 7 years old and is chirping) rather than pay a tech?
The F25432 uses the CTC203 series chassis. The most common cause of the picture being intermittent is poor solder joints on the small coil connected to the base of the horizontal output transistor. These cracked solder joints will eventually cause the horizontal output transistor to short, and the power supply will "squeel" when plugged in. If you have experience working on TV's then you can try resoldering the joints on that coil and checking/replacing the horizontal output transistor. If you do not have experience working on TV's then allow a qualified tech to handle it for you.
