Re: disk error

- Press the reset button (if it has one)
- If you are running Windows XP, you should install the player as removable disk.

My ipod says

You have a software or disk problem! While hooked up to your computer, try to force it into disk mode, first press menu and select until apple shows, the quickly change to sellect pause, until a check appears. This is the disk mode. If you can get this far it will work. Disconnect, and turn off computer. Reconnect and start the computer. It should pick it up and go to i-Tunes. If it doesn't try, try again

Boot error please format unit, this is my daughters, that I bought her a couple of years ago, she hasn't used it much and of coarse I can't find the installation disk.

Using Xp and or Vista you will not need drivers for your player. It should show up under hardware in device manager as a portable device, if it has a yellow exclamation mark or a question mark under other devices delete it and right click the small computer icon at the top of the tree and chose scan for changes. Then chose portable device. Next Xp or Vista will want Media player 10 or higher to see your player, also you may have to turn off any anti virus that may cause a problem. Try hooking up on the back side of your computer, the USB ports on the rear of a computer are set up to power such devices better than the front panel USB ports. Leave it hooked up for a while to be sure it has charged some.

Disk error

Remove your files from your media player using the computer, and then replace them. If you still receive the same message, remove your files again from the player and format it. If you still have problems, you can upgrade the firmware of this product.

Disk Error Message

the best thing to do is RE format the disc. i am currently having the same problem , witch i am tired of fixing them. if the item is from ebay : hong kong , i suggest you tell the buyer and complain. people will do anything for good feedback. saw formatting it will work. but you'll have the same problem in the future. either you copy all your music files to a folder. or buy one from Argos , woolworths etc etc...
