My HL-5140 has been working fine until it gave me the signal that my toner was low. I replace the cartridge and it printed just one page, then never print again.
The green light was always on. When I hit the Print button, it just stay on green and does nothing. I tried to go to the Printer properties and hit the Print Test Page; still nothing happened! What is wrong? I'd appreciate any suggestions.
If you have not solved your problem yet, the printer may have a faulty fuser lamp or a major fault , contact Brother:

Reset the printer by reset to factory default.
restart the printer
make a test print using printer menu (stand alone test print)
then connect printer to PC.
before making test print to PC...make sure there is no pending printing job
May be also possible that the drivers files have corrupted or gone missing.best thing to do initially is reinstalling the printer drivers again and check wether it solves this problem.
Toner cartridge is bad.
Double check the cartridge is fitted properly or not....
Remove the toner cartridge.off the printer.unplug it from main power outlet and also disconnect the printer from pc.wait for a minute.then redo everything as it was before by reconnecting every thing properly.then checkl out if still the problem then its possibly the usb wire faulty.replace it and check out.
Check out the connections between pc and printer.remove and refit that connection and check out.
