Sony CDX-727 Hi, I have a Sony CDX-727 10 Disc Changer that won't play on all 10 discs. I get a reset error on my Sony Car Stereo. It try's to go to each disc but doesn't play the disc. Is it possible to fix or should I trash it...Thanks. Bryan

try to reset the cars computer. i had the same problem and it fixed it. all you need to do is unplug the battery for about 10 minutes and it may work.

run a lazer disc cleaner through it serveral times

when you reset it, it reset to the factory default tuning frequency, find it by pressing seek several times while a cd is playing until you hear your disc. save that station.

throw it away and get a pioneer

e-99 indicates that there is some type of mechanical jam, the microprocessor requires reset, or the system had some major failure. try to remove power from the system for a few moments, and then reconnect. this will rest the microprocessor and possibly restore function. if there's a disc stuck in the magazine, or stuck somewhere in the loading or unloading sequence, it's sometimes possible to free this but the changer will have to be removed from the vehicle and partially disassembled.

maybe the lens in covered with dust , try to clean it , or it is broken. Who knows , break the device and see it for yourself. good luck

make sure you have the 2 audio cords running from the changer into the FM module

hi there that is sorta the problem i had and if you press eject nothing happens its still in there what i done was disconnect the battery for at least one minute and the cd changer lost its memory and was fine so i ejected the cd magazine and cleaned all the cds and blew out inside the machine has worked everytime its woth a try
