I don't know why it's so hard for you to find parts for your Babylock Serger. There are many online vendors who provide parts. Here's one link that has bulbs.
hi, congratulations on the sewing machine, if you want to know more about the machine check out these two websites
Ismacs.net
sewalot.com
for the type needle & bulb & manual---check with sewvacdoctor.com
I check on the singer website for a free operation manual but I did 't come up with any thing so
definitely contact the sewvacdoctor for the parts & manual
You need to change the bulb.
Most light bulbs in almost all sewing machines are located inside the face plate on the left hand side of the machine.
The faceplate is usually hinged at the back and it opens a bit like a door. It should open fairly easily and close with a click.
Open the faceplate and unscrew the bulb, it should be in plain view.
Look to see if it a screw or bayonet type.
Replace it the same way you would an ordinary bulb.
You can get sewing machine bulbs on ebay but you'll need to know which type of fitting it has before you buy.
Hope this helps!
On most sewing machines the light bulb is located inside the faceplate on the left hand side of your machine. http://www.janome.com/documents/File/ManualFile/6019QC.pdf
The faceplate is part number 17 in this manual.
One that has been removed, the bulb should be visible. You will need to look at the old bulb to see if it a screw type or a bayonet type, in order to replace it with a new one.
If this is not correct try the Janome website for advice, they have a forum and an ask Jan section for problems etc. http://www.janome.com/index.cfm/LearningCenter/AskJan http://www.janome.com/fusetalk/forum/
I hope this is helpful to you!
