Hello there. I have a Peavey XR 1220 power mixer. I didn't use it for a year but now that I want to use it has all the red clip light on. I can't us it. What can I do to fix it? Thanks for your help

I don't know how your question ended up in "Computers", but I'll try to help you anyway...

I found a schematic/manual for your PEAVEY, but I think it's a just partial schematic because no power supply is shown? A link is provided below...

The manual mentions your "Clipping Indicator" but mentions only on IF DISTORTION is present. See page 21.

That LED circuit samples audio BEFORE and AFTER your "3 band equalizer". That equalizer is only shown as a "block" with no other specifications other than "CHANNEL 19 - 20". *See page 29.

In your case it appears that your CLIPPER is sensing a signal overloading condition OR that IC may be defective? And because it's only shown as a block, there may be more than one IC or many other components involved in that section?

In fact the fault may be well before your CLIPPER sensing circuit! In example a bad or leaky CAPACITOR in your power supply MAY be injecting AC into your Mixer? I've just added a SECOND link below showing bad and good capacitors.

It's difficult to say without a voltage chart or the IC DEVICE numbers known...A full schematic would have helped us both more... I hope this was of some help to you!

Armed with this manual, your broken PEAVEY and the schematic I think a good tech should be able to sniff out the problem... Look for burnt or discolored items FIRST!

Anthony

I'm Ziro. I need a part list for the main power supply board for behringer pmp4000 mixer, two transistors were removed from it and I need to know the part numbers of each in order to install them.

In my opinion, due to the physical appearance of pmp4000 and pmp3000 look the same, it will most likely also have a common circuit and parts list (at least, most).
Usually Behringer (and all the manufacturers), with the same series / sequence, using the same circuit, the difference is the number of channels only. You can compare the parts list on PMP3000 schematic, with your PMP4000.

No sound out of Behringer BXL3000 speaker

Suspected Faulty PC board Dead Capacitor Or Mod Pot I would suggest returning it for an exchange the problem is your speaker will work on a regular stereo because a stereo powers the sound internally causing the magnets in the speaker to vibrate Headphone jacks are designed to pick up off a seperate circuit board with a different connection to the main board hence the no sound from the speaker.

Crate flexwave 120 tuner and all effects stoped working

Hi there,I have the same problem with my flexwave 120. I opened the amp to measure several capacitors on the small effect circuit board. If one of this capaciters have internal short circuit, wich will effect the others causing effects to fail. I removed them one by one to find possible short circuit. All capacitors were ok. I think the problem is in the processor wich is to diffucult to replace. I think it's easier to replace the effects circuit board. But where do we find this board??10_29_2011_6_25_35_am.jpg

Won't do anything but buzz very loud

The input or the CD input jacks may have a bad solder joint on the circuit board. If the amp is still under warranty, take it in to be serviced. If not you will have to have someone work on it. If you do it yourself, make absolutely sure there is no power running to it. Also be aware that the filter capacitors in the power supply can retain a dangerous charge. Sometimes you can discharge these by unplugging the amp from the wall power while it is on with the volume very slightly turned up. Once you have the circuit board out, you can wiggle the jacks and see if they feel loose. Look at where they are soldered to the board to see if they need to be resoldered. If that is not the problem then you will need a schematic and some troubleshooting experience and tools. Hope this helps.

G key not sounding

If it is a single key, then the key contact either needs cleaning or there is a crack in the circuit board with the contacts. These likely are conductive rubber contacts. Take them apart and clean with 99% isoprophyl alcohol. They are usually a black rubber "pill" in a silicone rubber dome that is pressed onto traces on a circuit board. Clean both the pi;ls and the circuit board. Do all thekeys at the same time to avoid having to take apart to do others later.

If ALL G sharps keys are dead, then either a wire is broken or circuit board connector or a crack exists in the board. Cracks in the board is USUALLY fatal.

Casio CT-670 Tone Bank keyboard completely dead

How familiar are you with schematics? I've just found my CT-670, There where marker marks on the keys. I cleaned it up. I took it apart as one channels had no sound. I love this machine. I want to find a manual for it also schematics would be very helpful for me too.
I would suggest looking inside for burns on semiconductors. or loose soldering. I need to replace a chip that has no cross reference... that I've found yet... I think it's an amplifier but need to spend more time on it....
