Question about Jenn-Air 30 in. CCE3401 Electric Cooktop
ON MY NEW JENNAIR COOKTOP THE FAN IS SUPPOSED TO COME ON AUTOMATICALLY WHEN I USE THE GRILL. I HAVE TO MANUALLY TURN THE FAN ON BEFORE THE GRILL WILL EVEN COME ON AND WHEN IT DOES COME ON THE GRILL DOESN'T GET HOT ENOUGH THAT I CANNOT LAY MY HAND ON IT. THIS UNIT HAS A SECOND GRILL THAT WORKS FINE. ANYONE KNOW MY PROBLEM?
Bibman: Sounds like the control switch or possible loose wiring. Take the element out and test the slots for voltage. You should get 220 Volts when on high.
DMA Jennair The fan motor is bad and needs to be replaced.
I suggest a new cooktop as THIS IS THE WORST DESIGNED COOKTOP I HAVE EVER USED. Not enough power, very hard to clean,
